It's not clear when Scales picked up the foot issue, but it nevertheless puts his availability for Week 18 in danger. He'll probably need to practice Thursday or Friday to have a shot to play at Green Bay.

Johnson picked up a shoulder issue during Sunday's win versus the Falcons, and it's now keeping him out of the Bears' first practice of the new week. He'll probably need to return to practice Thursday or Friday to have a chance to play in Week 18.

Bears' DJ Moore: Starts week with limited practice
Moore was a limited participant in practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury.
Moore missed part of Chicago's Week 16 win over the Cardinals after a defender rolled up on his ankle, but he returned to that game and looked no worse for wear in the Bears' Week 17 win over the Falcons, posting 159 yards and a touchdown. The star receiver is likely to upgrade to full participation Thursday or Friday and could avoid carrying a designation into the weekend as the Bears look to play spoiler Sunday against the NFC North rival Packers, who can clinch a playoff spot with a win.

Bears' Collin Johnson: Signed to Chicago's roster
The Bears signed Johnson off their practice squad Wednesday.
Johnson was elevated from the practice squad for both of Chicago's last two games and caught a pass for an 11-yard gain in the Week 17 win over the Falcons. The wideout will presumably suit up for Sunday's season finale versus the Packers, but he may be in store for only a modest role on offense.

Bears' Cole Kmet: Not practicing Wednesday
Kmet (knee) won't practice Wednesday, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
While head coach Matt Eberflus said "it's looking positive" for Kmet's chances of being available for Sunday's game against the Packers, the tight end will get some maintenance as the Bears begin Week 18 prep. Despite being listed as questionable with the same injury ahead of the Bears' Week 17 win over the Falcons, Kmet was cleared to play but was limited in the contest, as he failed to draw a target while logging a season-low 13 snaps on offense.

Bears' Darnell Mooney: Remains in concussion protocol
Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said Wednesday that Mooney remains in the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Mooney sat out Chicago's Week 17 win over the Falcons and remains in the protocol as the Bears prepare to face the Packers in their season finale this Sunday. With Chicago eliminated from playoff contention and Mooney set to become an unrestricted free agent after the season, the team has little incentive to rush the wide receiver back into action unless he's able to clear the five-step protocol in advance of the weekend.
